Today is Bonaventure's feast day. He is an interesting fellow.
'God is within all things but not enclosed; outside all things, but not excluded; above all things, but not aloof; below all things, but not debased."
Bonaventure was the first to speak of God as one "whose center is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere."
The wanderings of a stay at home father. As Tim Lilburn explains, haecceitas is the idea that "the thisness of a thing is unknowable, but there. It's the highest expression of the thing, but it can't be known with precision or named." This blog will contain reflections on parenthood, religion, and whatever I find of interest. I hope the spirit of haecceitas colors my words (and life).

Chris is the primary care giver for Jonah and Bea, his children. He taught middle school for seven years in various locations (Detroit, Cape Cod, the suburbs of Boston) before moving to Chicago.
