Overheard: interview for some snazzy tech company, occurring next to me in Starbucks in the lobby of the Sheraton in downtown Boston, “if janet (interviewee) walks into a room, what is your theme song?” What a question? I'm not sure where I would go with that. "Dancing on the Ceiling" is the obvious choice but it might not fit with the image of the company.
In a similiar vein, another blogger, asked spiritual friends to provide the title of one book that is worthy....of time. An interesting list is provided. What would my title be?
The wanderings of a stay at home father. As Tim Lilburn explains, haecceitas is the idea that "the thisness of a thing is unknowable, but there. It's the highest expression of the thing, but it can't be known with precision or named." This blog will contain reflections on parenthood, religion, and whatever I find of interest. I hope the spirit of haecceitas colors my words (and life).

Chris is the primary care giver for Jonah and Bea, his children. He taught middle school for seven years in various locations (Detroit, Cape Cod, the suburbs of Boston) before moving to Chicago. Sara, his wife, catches babies at Northwestern Memorial Hospital enabling him to stay home. As a Catholic he is interested in apophatic theology and its marriage with social justice.
